Don't you just LOVE this time of year? I know I do--it's when I get to decorate my home with tons and tons of vintage christmas ornaments, wreaths and lots of fa-la-la!!
I'm working on a few christmas projects for a art/craft sale I'll be in on December 6th. It's a really cool sale at a HUGE local company who sets this up every year right before Christmas. It is for their employees only, the general public is not invited, but the booth price is right and there are thousands of employees and most of them like to shop! It's only a 4-hr sale but really lots of fun and well worth taking a day off work to participate in.
I'll be posting some pictures soon of some of the wonderful wreaths I'm making as well as the other items I plan on taking to the show.
This weekend is my Winnie Trade Days show so my son Jonathan and I are busy getting ready for that--looks to be a good weekend--we are hoping to make lots of sales and many, many good friends. Please come out and visit us if you're in the area this weekend. It's the Winnie Trade Days in Winnie, Tx so all you have to do is google it--I'm in the antique mall section so come and look me up!!
That't it for now but there will be lots more coming soon!!

Beautiful, busy weekend!
Wow, this past weekend was FULL of activity and wonderful weather!! Sooooo much to do and so little time to do it but with my son Jonathan's help, we got it done! AND we managed to enjoy the lovely weekend as well. Here is my weekend in bullet points:
* Friday night-collaspe cause I haven't been feeling very well--allergies, cold/sinus,
* Get up early Sat. morning, price the many items I had for the antique mall, clean house (well, at least try!)
* Take items to antique mall as well as newly painted shelf units,
* Work on booth at antique mall until 1:30pm, visit with fellow vendors,
* Go start to HAAM to volunteer (this is a resale ministry where I volunteer on Sat. when I can)
* Go home at 7pm and watch church on computer then collaspe (still feeling pookie)
* Get up EARLY Sun. morning, load items for shop in Winnie/go to Winnie with Jonathan,
* Work on shop at Winnie with Jonathan until 1:30pm
* Go home to play with my grandson Brayden (he and his mom, my daughter Brittany, had gone to Dallas for the weekend to visit my oldest daughter, Jennifer)
* Run to buy groceries with Jonathan before Brittany has to go to work at 6pm,
* Come home, put up groceries and dress Brayden for the pumpkin patch,
* Go to the local pumpkin patch and take pictures of Mr. Brayden--he is so cute!!
* Go back home, fix dinner, put Brayden to bed and COLLAPSED!!
THAT was my weekend and now back to the real world and my job--whew, do you feel sorry for me yet?!?
I am so grateful for my children/grandchildren for all the help they give me in my often very hectic life. Jonathan is my strong arm, my traveling buddy and my companion!! You are the coolest, dude!!
Well, hope you aren't totally exhausted just reading this crazy schedule--please say a prayer for me as I am still a bit under the weather and not feeling quite so 'fresh' right now.
Love you all and will be posting some of the christmas projects I'm currently working on soon. God bless all and any who read this,

Really Cookin' Now!!
Ok, two days in a roll---I'm really cookin' now!! I can't believe I actually remembered to post something, anything, today to get into the habit of blogging again!! Yeah me!!!!!!
Isn't it funny sometimes how a mere 24hrs can make such a difference in one's life? I find myself tired and listless today, just wanting to go home and do NOTHING! My sweet grandson Brayden couldn't sleep last night--he has allergies/cold/runny nose and his mom had gone out with friends, soooooo----I was the designated babysitter. Poor little thing kept waking-up with coughing, runny nose, etc. I just held him and comforted him as much as I could. He tried so hard to go back to sleep but he was just so restless. I finally got him up and gave him baby Tylenol. He cuddled for a few minutes then went absolutely CRAZY with laughter, giggles and joy!! He was a totally different baby--just so cute and sweet, laughter at anything I did.
Well, his mom came home and took over at that point and I went to bed, tired but happy my sweet grandbaby was better.
So, you might wonder why the above would make me so listless? Because my daughter had informed me earlier this week that she and Brayden were going to move to Ft. Worth the beginning of next yr! The thought of not having my Brayden around, seeing him everyday, is just almost unbearable to me!! Ft. Worth is at least 4-5 hours away, just not close enough for me!! Could there be a move in my future?!? We'll see........to be continued

"This is the day......."
"This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it" Ps. 118:24
As some of you probably have noticed, I'm NOT the best blogger! I let things, issues, LIFE interfere and before I know it, days, weeks, MONTHS have passed and no blogging has occurred! Well, this is a new day, a new dawn and it is a day to rejoice and be glad, just like Ps 118:24 declares.
So, this is my goal--to blog AT LEAST 2-3 times each and every week, to share a scripture and a little part of my life and my business with you each time. Please be patient with me while I work on this part of my life!!
My wonder grandson is now almost 8 months old and crawling! AND he is starting to pull up on furniture and stuff!! They grow up sooooooo fast--we must enjoy them each and every minute of the day!
My business is on an even keel right now. I've gone back into the antique mall--sales are slow, but it's starting to pick up. My shop at Winnie is doing very well. To see more on my shop go to my shop blog -remadelifeemporium.blogspot.com - and get a little look at life at the Remade Life Emporium!! And I've recently started selling at a local flea market and boy, is that different! It's really amazing how each market can be so different from the other. It really keeps you on your toes!
Well, that's it for this morning. I hope you will 'hang' with me as I learn about life, art, business and well, everything!!

Great weekend at Winnie!
Had a really great weekend at my shop in Winnie, Tx this past weekend. We had lots of great customers, really good sales and fun, fun, fun! My son Jonathan came with me to help and boy, did I need him!! He is going to try to schedule his job around the show dates so he can be sure to come and help me. What a wonderful son he is and what a great blessing!
One of the things I enjoy the most about my shop is all the wonderful people I get to meet there. Customers, new vendors, old vendors, they are all such a blessing to me. I met a son and father team who were really amazing--the father for raising such a great young man and the son for being a wonderful example of a good future for the country! To read some of their story go to my new shop blog --- www.remadelifeemporium.blogspot.com -- and be sure to 'follow' my shop blog as well!
Things are very busy in the Gill house--my wonderful 4-mo. old grandson is getting more and more wonderful everyday. I've included a few new pictures of his sweet face. The shop is still taking a lot of my time, but as it looks better and better, I'm able to sit back a little and relax.
I'm planning a long weekend soon, a break from the stresses of life, a time to just walk and enjoy life. Not sure when I'll be able to do this, but I feel God is calling me to relax, renew and revive soon! Looking forward to it cause I know it will be good!!!
Please leave a comment, pull up an 'email chair' and lets talk about life--I'm a good listener!! And be sure to visit my other blog and 'follow' it!

New projects, new improved shop and more
Well, things have been hopping around here at the Gill house! Besides my wonderful new grandson Brayden, I've been working hard on my shop in Winnie Tx as well as working on a few new art projects. Brayden is now 4 mos. old and of course, absolutely the best baby in the world!! He is the love of my life and a joy--I'm so glad to have him.
The shop is coming along very nicely. My sister in law, Diana came over this past Sat. and worked all day with me to get the shop looking beautiful. Diana is a professional decorator and a wiz at taking odds and ends and making it into a shopping extravaganza!! I am very blessed to have her helping me--we had a great visit as well. Thanks to her, my shop is now a great place to visit!!
And, although time is often very limited, I have managed to work on a few projects. I've included a few pics of 2-deerheads I've been working on. Hope you like them and I'll be posting pictures of some of the other items I'm working on too!!
Deer 'skull mount' covered in vintage buttons, jewelry and lots of bling!!
Please be sure to check out my new blog- remadelifeemporium.blogspot.com, dedicated to my shop in Winnie Texas--Remade Life Emporium. Come by to see me if you're in the area--next show is July 6th-8th.
