Special Blessings

Thought some of you might be interested in one of my latest (and best) projects:   my grandson, Brayden Michael Gill!!!  My sweet daughter, Brittany, gave birth to the most perfect, sweetest, cutest baby in the world in March!! (can you tell I'm a proud g-ma!)  Brayden is the joy of my life, such a blessing and so much fun.  He's a really sweet baby and he actually giggled out-loud the other day!

He does take a lot of our time right now, but it's all good.  If I need to get something done and I'm the 'official' babysitter, I just put him in a papoose and 'get on with it'!

I thank God for my little 'pickle' every minute of everyday and I'm enjoying watching him grow!

My sweet Brittany and soon to be Brayden!

Here he is--all 8 lbs 5 oz of him!!  He was a big boy!

Proud Uncle Jonathan is all grins

Brayden in his papoose.  We went garage selling and he wasn't impressed!

3-month old Brayden watching cartoons with his mom--yes, he's a big boy!

"Did you say dessert?!"  Yes, he likes his food!!

"I think I ate too much--I'm so tired now!"

Sweet dreams my sweet baby boy--God loves you and so does your grandma!!!

So this is what's been keeping us sooooo busy these last few months--but he is well worth the effort and each day brings more and more joy just knowing my little Brayden!

God Bless all and any who read this,

What a great weekend I just had!!  Not only was it the Winnie Trade Days Show but also Mother's Day on Sunday.   The trade show started out gloomy, with rain and thunderstorms on Friday and Sat. morning.  It finally cleared up around 9am Saturday morning and the people started coming out from their 'burrows' and boy did they shop!!  There was a steady flow of customers all afternoon on Saturday--and Sunday wasn't so bad either.  Families were out, taking mom out for a special treat on her special day.  And they were buying!   And even though I had to work on mother's day, all my kids called and sent me their love and appreciation--what a great group of kids I have!!  Thanks guys for making my day special!

The shop is coming along very nicely, still needs a little 'tweeking' but I'm liking it more and more.  I had quite a few compliments on it this weekend and that of course combined with good sales really made my day!  Here are a few pictures of the shop as it is right now---it's always subject to change!!  Let me know what you think

This is one side of my 'front porch'

The other side of my front porch

                                                   Aren't the 7-dwarfs cute!

These are just a few shots of my shop.  As you can see, it takes lots of treasures to fill this place up!!  It's a whopping 32ft by 20ft of space to fill.  I love it all so much and I had so many nice customers come in and purchase or just visit with me.  It is my hope and prayer that I will be able to make this shop a place that people will want to visit every show, a place of great fun and wonderful items for sale.  But of course, most importantly, I want it to be a place so filled with God's holiness that everyone who enter will say,  "that was so enjoyable"!  Let me know what you think of my latest and greatest adventure!!

Well, as you can see my blog is undergoing some changes.  I'm trying desperately to develop a new look, a new feel and, of course, I'm doing it myself and having issues!  Please bear with me as I attempt to do web design, something I have no knowledge of!!!!  And be sure to check out both of my etsy shops as I add more and more items for sale, some I've created, some others have made and some are just supplies for mixed media projects.

Christmas in our hearts

Well, Christmas is over but not the joy it brought to our hearts.  My three children were with me and we had a fantastic time just enjoying each other, eating, last minute shopping, eating, opening gifts, eating----did I mention we ate alot?!  We had a good time and now we have good memories.  Christmas should be year-round (and it is when you know Jesus!!)  God Bless all and any who read this,

Here's my gang in front of the Christmas tree--notice that "Santa" Tulip is not impressed!

Santa Tulip livened up a little--"Did someone say cookies"?

Here we are--The Gills's in all their glory!!!!

My sweet daughter, Brittany, due on March 3rd--Santa Tulip is still not impressed!

Brittany and Santa Tulip--you guessed it, not impressed

Ok, now Santa Tulip is REALLY not impressed!!

Night, night, Santa Tulip, rest well until next year!

Christmas at the Gill's home!

It's Christmas time at the Gill house!!  There is glitz and glitter all around my home but my favorite decoration is my aluminum Christmas tree.  It's not vintage but it's wonderful!!  I never liked fake trees when I was a kid but I've changed my views as I've 'matured'.  I just love the way the lights twinkle against the silver of the tree and how the ornaments seem to glow.  It just seems to brighten my whole house!!  But of course, we remember and celebrate the true meaning of this holiday--the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  May the joy, love and peace of this blessed holiday be with you all!!
God's Blessings and Merry Christmas!!

Living life out loud!!

There is just toooooo much to tell you about all that's been going on, but I'm trying to get my feet back under me and start posting on a more regular basis!!  Let us hope this works!!  The fall is one of my busiest seasons with lots of shows to attend and with the Humble Trade Days which I manage as part of my 'real job'.  Combine that with mom still in a nursing home for rehab on her leg, a pregnant daughter and house issues and that makes for a very hectic life!!  But God is in control and He makes all things good for those who are His so here are a few pictures of some of the furniture I've been working on--hope you like them!

This desk & chair set was totally pink!

I painted the top of the desk with blackboard paint!

It was sooooo much fun working on this desk & chair---the more I worked on it, the crazier it got!!  I'm working on some more children's furniture and will post pictures soon!!

Love to all and God Bless all and any who read this,
