So, what's on the menu for life this week?---poison ivy!! That's right, yours truly has a bad, bad case of poison ivy and I'm really not very happy about it! For those of you who've never had this life-altering rash, let me tell you, it's not much fun!!!! You break out in large watery blisters every place on your body you had the misfortune to touch after having touched the evil poison ivy plant! Then a bright red, large bumpy area covers anywhere and everywhere it wants. And, let me tell you about the itching. Multiple the worst itch you can remember every having by about a gazillon times and that's ALMOST as bad as the itch that poison ivy causes---and I'm not joking!! Couldn't stand it anymore today so I went to the 'not-so-urgent' urgent care facility and after waiting more than 1 1/2 hours, I got a shot, super strength anti-itch creme and pills to take to kill this demon rash from hell!! Can you tell I now have a vendetta again this deceitful flora!?!?
Well, enough of that. I've been working on my space at the antique mall and it's really starting to look good. My sells have increased and I'm getting more exposure since I moved to a corner booth on a major aisle. It's a lot of work but, of course, this is what I love to do!! I feel very blessed to be able to be a 'resale diva' as well as my full-time job. Some day I hope to be able to retire and go 'pickin' to my hearts content!!
This spring will be very busy for us with my monthly Winnie show/shop, the antique mall booth and a new show called Lake Houston Trade Days located right here in Humble. Hoping it will turn out to be a really good show--3-months in the spring and 3-months in the fall. Take a little peek at their website when you can---www.lakehoustontradedays.com
Enough for now, following are a few pics of my antique booth--let me know what you think and remember
