What an amazing day!! My daughter Jennifer and I walked in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Walk this past Saturday and it was an awesome day. We had to get up at the 'butt-crack of dawn" as Jennifer says and get to the race by 6:30am. The race didn't start until 8:30 am but the traffic and parking are terrible if you don't go early. Also, there are lots of vendors there with free 'stuff' and you have to get there early or it's all gone!! We were told that the Houston walk is the largest in the nation and I believe it!! There had to be over 30,000 people there and what a wonderful sight to see so many walking to help fight breast cancer. My mom is a survivor and we walked for her and for so many others that didn't survive. It's a very worthy cause and one worth supporting. Go to the Susan G. Koman website to donation anytime of year or to register for a walk. Maybe we'll see you there!! God Bless, Pat A Re-Made Life
